NY Kids Get the Biz – Carter Brothers

Jesse Carter comes from a musical background. Jesse is the X factor in his dynamic brother duo with his brother Sammy as Team Carter. Now, Jesse is focused on his individual career while maintaining the support of his brother and family around him.

It is easy for people who enjoy alternative music to brush past hip-hop. But, there is no better example of a reason to explore different genres of music. Jesse is a seriously competitive individual and has never lost a battle. The short-lived beef with Kirk Franchize turned out to be brief as Carter prevailed and proved victorious.

Jesse is an artist from the 518 area of Upstate NY and grew up around purebred talent. Sammy and Jesse always kept each other sharp whether it be through sports or music. The bond between twins is unexplainable let alone the adversity that these brothers have faced.

Also, their father Herb is the frontman for the band RH Factor and has performed around the Albany area since 1984.

Jesse is steady paving his lane and has his own voice that details various experiences. Put your ear to the pavement and check out Jesse’s discography.

  1. Team Carter’s early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when “Life Goes On” came out in 2012, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole song has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He’s been compared to Jay Z, but I think Jesse has a far more bitter, cynical sense of rap.
