Jay Rock’s 3rd Album Nears Completion Process

Upon the consideration of greatness, Top Dawg Entertainment represents the hardest-working bunch of artists seen since the Bad Boy and Death Row days. Reason being, their label functions as a patient and well-oiled machine. Terrence “Punch” Henderson and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith lead the facilitation of a roster that carries multiplex talents. The emergence of SZA as one of the leading female voices really shifted the entire culture of the hip-hop landscape. In total, TDE built its core upon Jay Rock for the entire experiment.

A Wise Investment

In 2004, TDE sprung from the ground up as Top Dawg founded its first studio according to the meteoric rise of hip-hop. Kendrick Lamar aligned himself with TDE as a fifteen year old with an undying hunger and raw potential. Similar to LL Cool J and Def Jam, Kendrick owns a percentage of TDE’s market share as a company.

“The movie, the TV material that we’re working on, Kendrick’s going to be [an] executive producer on whatever we do.”(AFH)

Kendrick demonstrates the proper guidance and knowledge associated with the power of ownership. His conceptual ability spans far beyond our generational capabilities. His visual prowess draws from a vast range of dynamic resources.

Within the same context, Jay Rock shares the company of Kendrick Lamar on the upcoming Black Panther soundtrack. The first single released titled, “All The Stars” featured SZA and Kendrick Lamar. The Black Panther movie producers and cast received immense inspiration from Kendrick’s timeless piece of artwork, “Damn.” The soundtrack becomes public on February 9th and the movie hits the box office on February 16th.

Third Album Done

Jay Rock, a veteran in the game, symbolizes the historic background of TDE. As a West Coast rap pioneer, not many individuals show him appreciation within the genre. With steady output, experience and consistent lyrical exigency, Rock will forever rise.

Recently, his third album entered the stages of completion. The first single, King’s Dead features Future, Kendrick, and James Blake with production by Mike Will Made It and Teddy Walton. Expect Jay Rock’s forthcoming album to drop near the end of the second quarter.
